I keep getting payment errors when I try to book online

There can be many different causes for a payment error. Some common causes are for example:

- Incorrectly entered card details (incorrect card number, incorrect expiration date)
- The amount exceeds the limit
- Foreign currencies are not accepted on the user's card
- The payment was blocked by the bank as a security measure
- 3DS error (the user did not enter the password or SMS code or did not confirm the transaction in their banking app to authorize the payment)
- 3DS is not supported (the user's bank does not support or allow this type of transaction)
- Card details entered with password manager/ saved card details used in web browser (Our tip, try entering your card details manually again)
- Adblocker active. Your adblocker may be blocking the 3D verification process on our website.
- You are using the web browser Firefox. This sometimes gives problems during an online payment process. Try another web browser for payment, such as Chrome.

For some users it helps to uninstall and reinstall the app on the phone used to do the authentication. Should the authentication fail repeatedly, we advise you to contact your bank for more information or to use a different credit card.
