Restaurants, shops, museums, zoos and galleries are all easily accessible by cheap hire car in England from any major city.

Bath has long been a tourist favourite; with terraced houses and famous Roman baths the city has a stately feel to it. It is not far from London and has lots of things to do for all ages. Brighton is a great place to go in the summer months as the pebble beaches and entertainment filled piers provide lots of fun.

Stonehenge is in Wiltshire and is just off the A361 on the Salisbury Plains. It is a world famous ancient site that is estimated to be 5,000 years old. If you want to visit the beach then take a drive by rental car to the pretty south coast and choose between the many seaside tourist hotspots in the area.

Cornwall and Devon have fantastic beaches and coastline to explore as well as sweeping hills and valleys. To the east is Dorset, famous for its historical buildings and the setting for the majority of Thomas Hardy's novels. It is easy to get around the south coast of England in a hire car, which you can pick up from any major airport.

Wales and Scotland are both close by and border England to the north and the west and they make for interesting side trips. York is in the north of England in Yorkshire and is home to many tourist attractions.
