Dalaman Airport is just a short drive by budget car rental from Dalaman town. The airport receives non-stop flights from Europe several times a week. The resorts of Marmaris and Fethiye are nearby. There are numerous scenic routes, making cheap car hire at Dalaman Airport a good choice.

The modern terminals are open 24 hour a day, having 14 aircraft stands and four gates. The terminals are able to cope with 3.5 million passengers a year. There are two terminals, domestic and international, and both terminals are close to each other so walking between them is easy. There is a good variety of fast food outlets available such as McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut, and you can find snack bars and a pricey coffee shop. There are several duty-free shops and gift shops. It is wise to bargain as these shops can be expensive. Most of the shops close at midnight.

The transport links from the airport are infrequent. The bus linking Dalaman town only runs once in the morning and there is a late afternoon bus on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Taxis operate from the airport and are an expensive option. This makes car rental an option.
