Liverpool's John Lennon Airport is one of the principal access points to north-western England. John Lennon Airport is adjacent to the River Mersey and seven miles from the centre of Liverpool. Reaching Liverpool, Manchester and other regional towns is conveniently managed with car hire at John Lennon Airport.

Opened in 2002 the spacious passenger concourse at Liverpool John Lennon Airport has three floors. The ground floor has Arrivals, baggage claim and Check-in areas. The 1930s art deco building, next to the concourse, was the old passenger terminal and has been re-furbished as a hotel. John Lennon Airport is mainly serviced by budget carriers. Over five million passengers pass through the airport every year.

Amenities and services on the passenger concourse at John Lennon Airport are information booths, cash machines and change bureau, the Halewood Executive Business Lounge, a video arcade and a children's play facility, duty-free shops; budget car rental service desks and Wi-Fi Internet access. Snack and refreshment outlets are strategically placed throughout the concourse.

Several car rental desks are in the Arrivals hall across from the exit doors. Noted car rental suppliers, such as National, maintain desks here. John Lennon Airport is near major motorways. Car parks, long and short stay, are near the airport. Shuttle buses are provided to the more distant ones. Disabled parking spaces are beside the concourse.
