Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Houston Airport is an amalgamation of three airports, collectively called Houston Airport System or HAS. The three airports; George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport and Ellington Airport; are within a 20 mile radius of central Houston. The first two have regular airline services.

The biggest of the three airports is George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which is located 20 miles north of central Houston. This facility has five spacious terminals which process in excess of 40 million passengers annually. There is a separate building, near the main concourse, for budget car rental suppliers.

The next largest is William P. Hobby Airport which provides flights to US destinations and also to Mexico. This airport is next to the I-45 motorway, seven miles from Houston. Cheap car hire at Houston Airport can be pre-booked with Internet car rental sites. Courtesy shuttles transport customers from William P. Hobby Airport to budget car rental pick-up points.

Ellington Airport provides facilities for charter companies and the military. Ellington Airport is also adjacent to the I-45, but further from Houston. You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
